You might want to setup other resolutions and why not grab also images with command line utility: videodog home page | Linux/aow Makefiles |

Pros
  • Easy to use
  • Fast


Cons
  • No resolution selection within xscanimage (sane front-end 1.0.14).
  • xscanimage preview window functionality with "fast" scanning is not good
    The only way to "hammer" is to use keyboard "Down+Enter" combination, mouse clicking does not allow rescanning unless mouse is moved which is not fast with laptops.
