System connects using different connectors to data source which is sent to multiple customers.
Often due data source software, bandwidth, or protection, the data source itself may not or
can not be connected directly to Internet.
Capabilities
Extremely reliable - 2+ years server software uptimes reached.
Disconnects the actual camera stream if there are no readers/clients.
Uses multitude of GSF connectors; loadable using configuration - naturally dynamicly.
stream source i.e. information sent (camera etc.) is connected using connector.
Currently different http connectors for connecting to net cameras or other servers,
and file source connectors, which may be used for feeding a single file or file sequence.
Have been used with Axis web cameras; is able to feed camera stream even if Axis camera contains
buggy and non-standard webserver.
Tested with Axis 200+ and Axis 2120.
The system will support unlimited number of clients.
Client may use Nasduk applet, or just plain WWW browser. Stand-alone programs may also be used.
Able to customise to client needs - camera support, multiple protocols, etc.
Notice: broken images are due bug in webcam software of Axis 200+ (10+ years old camera hardware! 1996 model).
Bug may be avoided by slowing down the stream by adding longer sleep between images (~400ms).
Bug should not exist with newer cameras and software of Axis.
Used 3 WebCams for the event. Quite heavy load, so limited the server to send single image
~30kB around 4 second interval, because network capacity from the server to clients was full (10Mbit/s Ethernet).
